DETAILS
OF ACCOMMODATION 7 Avenue de Pezenas, is a large maison de maître with 3 large wine cuves, where at one time wine was produced and stored (where you can also see an ancient large olive press), and a lovely back courtyard garden, where you can relax. The apartments, which are on the first and second floor, are reached by a splendid staircase. On the first floor the owners have Bed and Breakfast available. THE APARTMENTS THE 4 PERSON APARTMENT The first room you enter is the kitchen/dining area, fully equipped for holiday cooking. To the left is a large airy bedroom (double bed) with shower room en-suite consisting of walk-in shower, washbasin vanity unit, and WC. On the right is another bedroom (twin beds), again with a with shower room en-suite consisting of shower, washbasin vanity unit, and WC, thus making the apartment suitable for a family of four. The Apartment being situated on the front of the house has the typical little balconies opening from the French windows of every room. Not quite wide enough to dine on but certainly for standing with a glass in hand watching village life pass by whilst admiring the view of the 14th century church spire beyond. In September you can even watch the grape harvest go by.................... All the Apartments and Studio have access to communal laundry facilities with washing machine, a dryer, iron and ironing board. |

THE STUDIO The Studio - a unique space of 45 square meters ideally suited for a couple on holiday, or even longer term. Bright and sunny - with its south west facing window bringing in the sun from morn till dusk. With its original 'pavé' floor tiles and rough-hewn white-washed walls yet with all the comforts of modern loft living. A streamline fitted kitchen flanks the wall immediately inside the door which includes a gas stainless steel hob, an electric oven and a large fridge-freezer. All the small electrical kitchen essentials are included such as kettle, coffee machine etc. Further within the space a sofa allows you to relax in front of the TV/DVD player. At the other end the large double bed overlooks the window with its lovely view across the roof-tops towards the church spire of the next village. Opening directly from here is the Gaudi inspired bathroom. All the Apartments and Studio have access to communal laundry facilities with washing machine, a dryer, iron and ironing board. THE LOFT APARTMENT The Loft - It is a large, light and airy space complete with fitted kitchen which includes a gas stainless steel hob, an electric oven and fridge. All the small electrical kitchen essentials are included such as kettle, coffee machine etc. Within the space a sofa allows you to relax in front of the TV/DVD player or gaze out over the roof tops and countryside. At the other end is a bedroom area complete with en-suite shower and WC. All the Apartments and Studio have access to communal laundry facilities with washing machine, a dryer, iron and ironing board. THE 6 PERSON APARTMENT The 6 person Luxury Apartment - Situated in the heart of the house, the apartment consists of 3 large bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, Master bedroom including a bath. Two bedrooms are overlooking the terrace, where you can enjoy the sun and relax in the evening, the other looks out over the village towards the church, a truly beautiful view. A large dining/lounge area, approx 7m x 4m, with a magnificent marble fireplace and all the detailing that you can expect to see in a house that's 150 years old. Fully fitted kitchen complete with dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge/freezer, single oven, and large 5 burner cooker. The kitchen also provides access to the balcony at the rear of the house. All guests in the Apartments and the Studio all have access to the Courtyard Garden and pool on the ground floor. | ST THIBERY AND SURROUNDING AREA Named in honour of Saint Thibéry in the 9th Century by the Benedictines, the village dates back to Roman times, when it was called Cessero, which gives its name to the local wine. The present abbey and church date from the 14th Century. A Roman day takes place in August with Gladiators, Son et Lumière and and a banquet in the market square for over 300 people! St Thibéry benefits from 2 bakers, a butcher, a small supermarket and two bars. Larger shops and the renowned open air Saturday market can be found at nearby Pezenas, a town noted for it's Moliére Theatre, art galleries and many cultural festivals throughout the year. Saint Thibéry is less than 20 minutes drive from bustling Bèziers with its famous Friday flower market, boutiques, bars, restaurants and theatre. Forty minutes in the opposite direction is Montpellier, offering all the excitement of a thriving metropolis. The long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are only 15 kilometres away. At Cap d'Agde, you'll find the largest nudist beach in Europe. ACCESS Ryan air now fly to Montpellier (half an hour away) as well as Perpignan, Carcassonne & Nimes, all within an hour from us. Montpellier has direct flights to Paris linking it to international flights form the US, Canada etc. There is car hire available at all these airports. There regular trains from all these cities to Beziers or Agde. Alternatively if you don't wish to fly, you can catch the Eurostar to Paris or Lille and then the TGV to Beziers or Agde for a fast & scenic train journey. We are only 3km from Exit 34 of autoroute A9. If you don't have your own transport, we always reccommend that you hire a car at the airport as public transport is very limited. We have our own bicycles for hire. |
