La Table Saint Crescent, Narbonne
Subdued, care for the balance of tradition and new
Where sleek and substance come potent

I was impressed, first that I reserved a table leaving my name and number on an answering machine, and someone eloquently replied back 15 minutes later. Many restaurants don't bother, with getting back on time. I often find messages being picked up days later! Entrance is elegant, - a surprise coming off a busy roundabout in the middle of Narbonne - a dining room subdued with a careful balance of tradition and new. Service friendly, and select in words to explain plate wine food. They have a very reasonable 20 euro lunch menu - with wine included - that lets one in on some of the surprises that could be in store if you go upscale ... which is worthwhile in this lovely restaurant. Pleasant, relaxed, formal. Great dining. Excellent Taste.
