Salleles d'Aude, tranquille, yet majestic next to the Canal de la Robine is full of surprises. The canal sedately passes through the village, between Canal du Midi and the thriving but beautiful town of Narbonne, before pressing on to the Mediterranean. But what of Salleles d'Aude? There are 3 notable places to visit - The European Center of Patchwork which is well worth a visit with its workshops, gallery, and shops; the Amphoralis - Musée des potiers gallo-romains - see where pots were made and exported to the Roman Empire!, and the local museum - where you can get a flavor of how things were in times past in this area
