DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION The house - 95 m2 - is comfortable and cosy. Its three floors are connected by an impressive spiralling silver-iron and wood staircase. On the ground floor, you'll find the laundry room containing a washing machine. On the main floor, you'll find the living room and the kitchen - equipped with microwave, oven, induction stove, and fridge. Bedroom On the floor above, there's the main bedroom (containing a double bed), a fully-fitted modern bathroom, and a separate WC. The top floor contains the second bedroom, fitted with a double bed, and a small office. Pézenas is a town of culture: it's the town where the great Renaissance dramatist Molière first made his name. Here you can sample world-class theatre, and savour the pleasures of baroque and classical music while attending concerts in ancient churches. One of Pézenas' major attractions is undoubtedly its colourful Saturday market: the length of the town's central road - Rue Jean Jaurès - is crammed with bright stalls selling everything from fruits, olives, cheeses, and vegetables to clothes and garden decorations. SURROUNDING AREA Pézenas' location in the heart of fabled Languedoc makes it the ideal base for your explorations into the culture of the 'Land of the Troubadours'. It's surrounded by such charming medieval villages as Castelnau de Guers, Montagnac, Caux, Nivas, and Loupian, each nestled within a rolling landscape of church spires, vineyards, and wine trails. World-class festivals such as Bezier's Fèsta D'Oc (in July), Bezier's Feria bullfighting festival (in August), Narbonne's National Amateur Theatre Festival (in June), and Montpellier's Festival de Radio France (in July) are all easily accessible from Pézenas. But Languedoc is also a region for nature lovers, and Pézenas is an hour's drive away from the Parc National de Cévennes and the rugged mountain landscape of the Massif Central, perfect for trekking. Less than hour away by bus or car are the golden beaches of Cap d'Agde and Sète. From Pezenas, you may venture south to the Pyrénées Orientales and the ancient mountain fortresses of the Cathars. Pézenas is served by a major bus terminus. There are international airports at nearby Béziers and Montpellier and train stations at Agde and Montpellier. ACCESS Montpellier (35mins) is the nearest International airport with regular daily flights Alternatives are Beziers (20mins), Nimes (45mins), Carcassonne (1hr), Toulouse (2hrs). All the airports have car hire available. If travelling by train, there are stations at Bezier and Agde. There is no rail connection to Pezenas therefore It is necessary to take a bus. Buses also run direct from Montpellier to Pezenas.
