Access: airports: Beziers Cap d'Agde (12kms, 10 mins) - flights to London, Bristol; Carcassonne (100 kms, 1 hour), Montpellier (58 kms, 40 mins), Perpignan (100 kms, 1 hour), Nimes (100kms, 1 hour; railway: Agde (6 kms, 10 mins).

The apartment is on the first floor and the front door opens into the large living/dining area.
This room is equipped with a clic-clac sofa and two armchairs, table and six chairs, and fireplace. There are TV, DVD and CD players.
To the right is the kitchen which has a gas cooker with four rings and oven, electric microwave/grill, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The kitchen is newly fitted out and is fully equipped with crockery and pans etc for all your cooking needs.
The twin room is spacious, with a third fold-up bed for a child, and has a fireplace and built in wardrobe.
The double room has a built-in wardrobe, double bed and chest of drawers.
The new bathroom has a bath and separate shower and washing machine.
There is a courtyard with table and chairs, barbecue, fridge, flower beds and trees and car-parking space.
There is electric heating in each room

A spacious, characterful apartment newly converted on the top floor of this old house is now available.
It has a large bedroom with double bed and a mezzanine sleeping area with two single beds, suitable for older children.
The open plan living area includes a brand new kitchen with built in oven, hob and dishwasher, table and chairs and comfortable seating area with French and British TV. There is a single day bed/sofa.
This opens onto a sunny roof terrace with sun beds and a table and chairs.
The bathroom has a large shower. The apartment has air conditioning and heating, is full of original features such as beams and an exposed stone wall.
The apartment has air conditioning which is reversible for heating in the winter.

Pretty Bessan, near Agde
Bessan is a very old village situated between Agde and Pezenas in the heart of the Languedoc wine country. Bessan has two banks with cash machines, a post office, shops including a small supermarket, butchers, fishmongers and greengrocers, as well as a superb twice weekly market. There are a couple of café/restaurants in the main square and other restaurants nearby. The Cave Cooperative sells the prizewinning Rosé de Bessan, as well as reds, whites and sparkling wines.
Med beaches are only 10 minutes drive
Bessan is on the river Hérault and is 8kms (5 miles) from the coast with its long sandy beaches and resorts.
Marseillan, a pretty little port with lovely fish restaurants, is nearby. There are boat trips around the coast and on the Canal du Midi (at Agde), and you can hire boats and jet-skis. Pezenas is just up the road and has many restaurants and a lovely old town with many attractive little shops.
Further afield Sete is a bustling port, Montpellier a lively student city and of course Carcassonne is famed for its beautiful fairytale castle.
Winetasting is one of the most popular pastimes in the area, and there are no shortage of "degustation" opportunities.
